Loving Learning and Growing Together

Volunteering at School

Do you have some time in your schedule that you could use to support the children and our school?

Whatever your skillset, we will have a role for you as a parent helper! There is no need to have expertise, all instructions and support will be given to you to make the most of your time.

Ways that you could help us could include:

On a weekly/bi-weekly basis -

(anywhere from 1 hour to a whole morning or afternoon)

  • Supporting individuals or groups in class with learning tasks such as reading, handwriting, maths etc.

  • Playing board games or doing sports activities with groups

  • Activities in our outdoor learning environments

  • Helping with our school animals – rabbits, guinea pigs, fish

  • Taking groups of children to the school library

  • Tidying and sorting the school library

  • Admin tasks such as filing, sticking or preparing resources

For particular events or occasions -

  • Art projects

  • Food preparation and cooking

No time to offer during the school day?

There is still a way you can support our school. From time to time, we have resources which need to be prepared which we would be able to give to you for you to do at home eg. Cutting out hand shapes, attaching bunting onto string (things you could do in front of the TV!)

Our Volunteering in School Policy will give further information about what to expect if you volunteer with us.

If you think you would be able to offer support, please email the school office with your preferences and availability and we will get back to you.

Before starting any volunteering with us, you will need to apply for a DBS (if you do not have one with us already). Please complete the DBS application form below and send to school office. Once the application has been made by the school parents will receive an email from Strictly Education inviting you to access your account to complete personal information prior to you bringing in original documents to complete the verification process. For information regarding documents required to support your application please click here. There also be a video to watch to share our safeguarding procedures.
