Governance at Thames Ditton Infant School

The Governing Body plays a key role in the strategic leadership of the school. Governors work closely with the Headteacher and senior leaders to ensure that every child receives a high-quality education in a safe and supportive environment.

Their responsibilities include:

• Setting the vision and strategic direction of the school

• Monitoring pupil progress and outcomes

• Ensuring safeguarding arrangements are effective

• Overseeing the school’s budget and use of resources

Governors provide both support and challenge to school leaders and are accountable for ensuring the school continues to improve.
