Could You Spare a Little Time to Support Our Children and School?

We are incredibly grateful for the time and support our parent volunteers give to the school. Whether you can offer an hour a week or help occasionally, volunteering is a lovely way to be involved in school life and make a real difference for our children.

You don’t need any special skills or experience — we will provide guidance, support and any training you need.

    How You Could Get Involved

    Helping regularly (weekly or fortnightly)

This might be for an hour, a morning or an afternoon, and could include:

    • Supporting children in class with reading, handwriting, maths or other learning activities

    • Helping in our outdoor learning areas

    • Taking small groups of children to and from the school library

    • Tidying and organising the library

    • Helping with simple admin tasks such as preparing resources

If you volunteer regularly, we will make sure you receive any relevant training, for example  to support children with reading or phonics.

    Helping occasionally

If regular volunteering isn’t possible, you may still be able to help with:

    • School trips
    • Special events and celebrations
    • One-off projects or activities

    How to Get Started

If you’d like to volunteer, please complete our Volunteer Application Form, letting us know your availability and the kind of activities you’d enjoy.

Parents who would like to help regularly will be invited to an informal chat with a member of the Senior Leadership Team. The school will arrange a DBS check, and before starting, all regular volunteers will take part in a short safeguarding induction and receive clear guidance about school routines and expectations.

This process helps ensure we keep our children safe while making volunteering a positive and rewarding experience for everyone.

Thank you for considering volunteering — every little bit of help really does make a difference.
