Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and caring Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team to start in January 2026. You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis, ensuring all children are supported academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

• Provide targeted support to pupils with additional learning needs.

• Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.

• Help prepare learning materials and classroom resources.

• Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and school activities as required.

• Contribute to the wider life of the school community.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about working with children and helping them succeed.

• Patient, approachable, and able to build positive relationships.

• Organised, flexible, and able to work well as part of a team.

• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.

• Ideally qualified to NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent), although training can be provided for the right candidate.

Contract Details

• This role is 31.25 hours per week for 38.6 weeks per year.

• Working hours are from 8:25am – 3:10pm, Monday to Friday, with an unpaid half-hour break during the hours of work.

References will be sought for short-listed candidates; please ensure your referees are able to provide them. An enhanced DBS check and other safeguarding recruitment checks will be required for the successful candidate. The school reserves the right to withdraw the vacancy earlier.

Wraparound Play Assistants

Love working with kids? Enjoy making every day an adventure?
We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic Play Assistants to join our Acorns Breakfast and Afterschool Clubs!

At Acorns, children get the chance to explore, problem-solve, make decisions, and take safe risks through exciting, outdoor, hands-on activities. Our sessions are child-led, full of creativity, and way more fun than your average wraparound care.

Working Hours:

  • Before school: 7:15am – 8:45am

  • After School: 3:00pm – 6:15pm

  • Term time only, Monday to Friday

Whether you’re looking for regular hours or just a few shifts each week, we offer flexible contracts to fit around your schedule!

We’re looking for someone who is:
