You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis, ensuring all children are supported academically, socially, and emotionally.

• Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and school activities as required.

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
• Passionate about working with children and helping them succeed.

• Organised, flexible, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
• Ideally qualified to NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent), although training can be provided for the right candidate.

Contract Details
• This role is 18.75 hours per week for 38.6 weeks per year.
• Working hours are from 8:25am – 3:10pm, Monday, Tuesday and Friday, with an unpaid half-hour break during the hours of work.

Ember Learning Trust is a close-knit partnership of four local schools, working collaboratively to provide the very best outcomes for pupils. Located in the heart of Thames Ditton, Surrey, our schools benefit from a strong sense of community and shared purpose.
As Clerk to the Governing Body, you will play a key role in ensuring effective governance. Working closely with the Chairs of Governors, Headteacher, School Business Manager, and governors, you will coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and papers, take accurate minutes, track actions, maintain records, and provide advice on governance procedures and statutory requirements.
This role would suit someone with excellent organisational, communication, and ICT skills, who is able to manage their time effectively and work independently. Whether you are experienced in governance or looking to develop in this area, full training and ongoing support will be provided.
This is a part-time, term-time only position, offering flexibility around working hours. You will be required to attend approximately eight Full Governing Board meetings and six committee meetings per year (usually held before school or in the evening), as well as termly Trust meetings. The role totals approximately 280 hours annually.
This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute behind the scenes to the strategic leadership of our schools and make a meaningful difference in children’s education.
