Honouring the Past with Joy and Colour

On Thursday 8th May, the whole school came together to commemorate VE Day with a joyful and meaningful celebration.

In the lead-up to the event, children created beautiful flowers which were arranged in our Remembrance Garden behind the amphitheatre. The display was both thoughtful and vibrant, and we’ve been touched by the effort and care that went into each contribution. It has received many kind comments from parents and visitors alike.

A huge thank you to Mrs Coulter and the Office Team for organising the bunting and coordinating the floral arrangements. The garden looked absolutely lovely—your hard work did not go unnoticed.

The children arrived in fabulous 1940s-style outfits and enjoyed a whole school picnic on the field, followed by an energetic Hokey Cokey and Conga, expertly led by Mrs Frame! It was a joyful end to a memorable day.

Thank you to everyone—staff, children, and families—for helping to create such a special experience. It was a wonderful way to honour VE Day and to make lasting memories together.
